Introducing... Spark

Let’s be honest…it's hard. Running a business is hard. Working for yourself? Hard. Being a company of one and doing it with ADHD? Extremely hard.

Less hard than the alternatives like ‘getting a job working for someone else’, granted. But a totally different brand of hard. One so many other people can't really understand.

Because even when it’s the best thing in the world, it’s still really bloody hard.

But it doesn't have to be lonely and hard.

The Spark mastermind programme has been designed (by an ambitious ADHD entrepreneur) to support other ambitious ADHD entrepreneurs through all the ups and downs of business, so you can be in business by yourself without carrying it all by yourself.

And we'd love you to join us.

A mastermind for ambitious ADHD entrepreneurs who feel curtailed by their busy brains.

The realities of ADHD  self employment

business boosx-494 (1).jpg

Suzy here - hiya. I've spent over a year coaching amazing clients while running my own business. And after a career of working for other people and with other people, there were a few things I really miss (and some things I definitely didn't!).

Here's what I missed:

🎉 People to celebrate my wins with (that weren't my cat).
💡 Getting fresh perspectives on the work I was doing.
🤔 Knowing if things were just me?
🔥 Hearing other people’s excitement about their stuff and getting excited with them
🤝 People to lean on if - or more correctly, when - things felt hard
🙌 ME TOO! moments

And with how my brain works, these things go from being hard to being really hard, like:

🔍 Struggling to find or create the interest my nervous system needs
🌈 Regulating my emotions
🧐 Interpreting what neurotypical people say/mean/how they behave (without having anyone to check in with)
🎯 Activating and avoiding perfectionism
✅ Accountability - specifically for ever FINISHING STUFF OFF!

If you're reading this and thinking me too! then Spark  could be just what the (private, because *NHS waitlists*) doctor ordered.

How Spark works

Imagine being part of a group of like minded people running their own businesses.

A group full of ADHDers, and their bold mix of massive ambition and imposter syndrome.

A collective of people who actually might know exactly how you feel and what you’re going through, because the odds are they’ve been there too.

Now, imagine that group was created managed by ADHDers, specifically for ADHDers. People who share the highs and lows of self employment with an ADHD brain.

And it was created with the ethos of the Technicolour Project at its heart:

To help build, run and grow your ADHD business in glorious technicolour!

Room to work on your business as well as in your business. Whether you’re starting up, consolidating, or growing, you’ll find others here sharing your experiences and who can bring their own thoughts, ideas, inspiration and neurodivergent magic to the party.

With Spark, you will get help to:

✅ Make that isolated feeling a thing of the past
✅ Keep a watchful eye on any burnout
✅ Prioritise brain AND business progress
✅ Make choices and decisions AND follow through
✅ Give you access to other business brains on demand, whenever you need them
✅ Make it less of a chore, more of a pleasure
✅ Reward you generously for your participation in DOPAMINE!

Yes, we do goal setting, accountability, body doubling… but everything we do is facilitated by people who get ADHD and also KNOW BUSINESS.

Our accountability isn’t just asking you what you’re going to do then seeing if you’ve done it… though we can do that if it’s helpful.

But we see it being more like: asking what you want to achieve, breaking that down so you have a pathway, helping you check it’s right for you and your business, and finding a way to get it done.

“I immediately felt at ease from the first meeting and felt heard and understood in every session. Suzy is a naturally gifted coach and takes an empathic and individual approach. I very much felt that the work we did was tailored to my needs and not from a template.”

- Jo Child

Who's involved with Spark?

ME!

Suzy, founder of the Technicolour Project, seasoned ADHD business coach, former business advisor, cake flogger, journalist, ballroom dancer and bid writer (all true).

BUT NOT JUST ME!

I wanted to be able to offer more than just ‘more of me’ - and to offer stuff that frankly I’m not that great at, like accountability *side eye*.

MEET JESS!

get_body (1).jpeg

Jess Price runs Girl Friday, and is a brilliantly experienced founder’s associate - she knows a lot about a lot, and is happiest being hands-on helping turn ideas into reality.

There’s nobody better to be your right hand human.

Jess will chair our Bored Meetings, and with a heart of gold, late ADHD diagnosis and a natural flair for common sense business she’s the perfect compliment for Suzy’s knowledge and challenge.

AND ALICE!

Alice Maravegias has been part of Team Technicolour for over a year now, and will be the friendly face of all things administrative, making sure you’ve got all you need to join in.

Alice is the organiser extraordinaire who completes stacks of paperwork each month on time and in full… she’s the neurotypical amongst us, and we love her weirdness like that!

"I was almost at breaking point when I started coaching with Suzy. She has been able to help me identify my strengths and how to apply them to areas I might struggle with so I can achieve my goals."

- Clare, coaching client

What you get with Spark

1. We have BORED meetings!

Accountability, prioritisation, body doubling - but make it Technicolour!

The bit coaching doesn’t really give you: just getting stuff done we need to get done. It can be the big important stuff, but sometimes you just need to bring the boring stuff. And we’ll focus on WHY it needs doing - cos that can help.

Live sessions, drop ins, there’ll be something each week to help you with the ever-hard task of staying on track, and vaguely the correct amount of ‘whelmed’!

2. Business advice, support, coaching - at your service

Every month you’ll get access to a 1:1 session with Technicolour founder and chief coach, Suzy.

You'll also get a group coaching call on specific ADHD-related topics. Come along with a challenge you're facing, or just drop in to learn from other Bright Sparks! We'll have a Slack community for keeping in touch.

And we’ll be bringing in expert guest speakers or workshops too, focusing on different business topics or challenges - from marketing and SEO, to belonging and queer entrepreneurship, to what to do when it all goes t*ts up!

3. Quarterly planning sessions

You know you should try to plan ahead for the next quarter, but your interest-based nervous system just. won't. let. you. Well, with our quarterly peer business brainstorming sessions, not knowing what to focus on over the next three months will be a thing of the past!

There'll also be a bunch of extra stuff like business opportunity spotting and feedback and support with your business communications.

4. Value for money

We've said it already, but we'll say it again... Spark has been designed with ADHD business owners in mind. And that includes the pricing.

Full Spark membership costs just £250 per month.

If you receive an Access to Work ADHD coaching/coping strategies award, your award can contribute to the cost as Spark includes one 60min 1:1 coaching session per month.

That means you can upgrade your coaching experience to a full mastermind membership from JUST £45 a month - can you afford not to?!

You also have the option to join the mastermind for just £85 a month, without 1:1 coaching.

And depending on your Access to Work award, you could reclaim some or all of this cost from your Support Worker hours - contact us to talk about this option.

So let's recap - why should you join the Spark mastermind?

By joining Spark, you'll be joining a crew of fellow ADHD business owners where you can:

💬 Share ideas and get feedback from others.
🧠 Start, or continue, your journey of working with your brain rather than against it.
🤝 BE LESS ALONE. Always.
🎉 Be part of something positive, celebrating us, celebrating our brains, our businesses. We have pom-poms. I’m not kidding.
🛠️ Attend workshops and AMA sessions with other business and ADHD professionals - you won't be sold stuff, you'll get to learn and ask questions in an ADHD-friendly style.
😄 Share the good, the bad, and the downright weird!

Membership costs just £85 without 1:1 coaching, or £250 with monthly 1:1 coaching. And both membership levels can be paid for with your Access to Work award or support worker hours.
