Hello, Suzy here. I’d like to start by confirming what ADHD Coaching is NOT.
It is NOT about trying to make you more “normal”.
It is NOT about helping you find ways to “fit in” at work or anywhere else.
And it is definitely NOT about masking the very real challenges that you (and I) live with on a daily basis so that you can “just get on with” running your own business.
NOPE to all of that.
ADHD Coaching is a way of helping you navigate the ups and downs of life with a technicoloured brain.
Everything you’ve been taught, explicitly or otherwise, about how to ‘do life’, wasn’t quite right. Because none of it took into consideration the way your technicolour brain works.
At the Technicolour Project, a big part of what I do is helping ADHDers get comfortable with being different.
By challenging conventional “rules” about business ownership and creating belonging, TCP coaching helps ADHD entrepreneurs find their hidden strengths, gain a deeper understanding of their neurodivergence and discover their own path to successful self-employment.
ADHD Coaching can help you with…
1. Understanding your ADHD
Your coach can help provide explanations about how neurodivergence creates both strengths and challenges, and can support you as you get to know your brain and the patterns of behaviour that make you YOU.
Imagine there was a user manual for your unique brain which helps you understand why you do the things you do - your coach can help you start making the most of your brilliant brain exactly the way it is.
2. Goal Setting and Accountability
If you’re feeling a little lost or overwhelmed, ADHD coaching can help you get clear about where you’re trying to get to and set some goals that will help make sure you get there!
Your goals are uniquely personal to you, from exploring tools to help you manage your time, to incorporating more self-care and building your self-esteem. When you book a free intro call you’ll have the chance to discuss what’s most important to you and where you’d like the support of a coach.
Coaching also helps you stay on track, holding you accountable in a "Hey, did you try that thing we talked about?” way.
3. Strategies and Techniques
When you sign up for coaching with TCP, we’ll share our goody bag of tips and tricks that make it easier to work with your ADHD brain, not against it.
From creating the physical work environment that allows you to be at your creative best, to preventing interruptions as you head into hyperfocus. We’ve got a wide range of strategies and techniques that you can try and adapt, helping you to stay organised, manage your time, and deal with procrastination in more positive ways.
4. Maximising your Strengths
ADHD isn't all about challenges, and life with ADHD doesn’t have to be so hard. There is another way. In fact, there are a multitude of other ways. ADHD coaching offers you different perspectives, more options, and support as you discover a new journey that is right - for you!
You don’t need to be less ADHD; you can thrive by being more you.
5. Judgement-free Emotional Support
It’s common for ADHDers to struggle to complete all the things we set out to do. Living with ADHD can be more than a little bit frustrating (!!!) and our self-esteem can take a massive hit when our ambitions don’t materialise right away.
An ADHD coach is there to offer support and encouragement as you work towards your goals at a pace that’s right for you - no judgement, no comparison and no expectations. Just plenty of reminders that you're not alone in this.
Make it yours
ADHD coaching is just one way to make sense of, and make the most of, having a unique ADHD brain. It can help you find the freedom to work, live, and think exactly how you want, without explanation or apology. It’s not about being less ADHD, it’s about helping you to be more you.
